The insurance Company increased the Academy Place unit values by 2.4% for 2017-2018. The Board of Directors voted to include the Theft and Board Protection Policies in the premiums the individual homeowners pay. This represents an increase of $13.04 per year or a difference of $358.96 (2016-2017) to &372.00 (2017-2018). The increase will take place April 1, 2017

The Neighborhood Watch Committee met on February 23, and formed two Committees (Planning and Communications) to work on organizing our Neighborhood Watch Program. The first meeting will be held at the Floyd Center on Tuesday, March 21, at 3:30 p.m. We are hoping to have a great turnout for our first meeting! Kay Kiely is leading this important endeavor.

Spotlight on the Covenant
According to Article IX, Section 4:
“Examination of the Books – Each unit owner of a unit shall be permitted to examine the books of account of the Association at a reasonable time, on business days. But not more often than once a month.”

Acording to Article VII. Section 1: Power
“The Board of Directors shall have the power to:
a) Adopt and publish rules and regulations governing the use of the common area and facilities and the personal conduct of the members and their guests thereon, and establish penalities for the infractions thereof…”
